OUR PRACTICES

  • Our core practice enables us to take your team from research design to reporting through a variety of methods linking human touch to technical tools. From small online survey projects to large multi-year, multi-mode, multi-partner, multi-project initiatives, we have broad expertise and a deep fund of precedents to draw on.

    PRACTICE LEADER: Laura Luchies, PhD

  • This practice brings our research and evaluation expertise to the design and implementation of ongoing teamwork systems, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) on the human side and integration of multiple cloud-based platforms on the computing side.

    PRACTICE LEADER: Adriene Galindo, BS

  • We have long had success recruiting, training, equipping, and empowering students and recent graduates to become profoundly productive and purposeful team members. Our approach will intentionally emphasize social work perspectives over traditional personnel management strategies. We are extending our practice to multiple universities and to adult learners recommended by our clients and partners, including workforce development organizations.

    PRACTICE LEADER: Cole Sweda, BSW

  • Building on our knowledge of research, teamwork, and technology, this practice focuses on the ecosystem of entrepreneurship support organizations (ESOs) in Kent County, Michigan, as well as offering research and analytics services to select small- and medium-sized firms.

    PRACTICE LEADER: Kimberly Slaikeu, PhD

  • Every research project requires a technology infrastructure. After conducting hundreds and hundreds of projects since 2004, we have learned a lot about off-the-shelf tools, and we have developed a couple of our own. This practice provides our clients with support in relating to software vendors and developers, including vendor and developer selection advising. We are also working to productize some of our own prototypes.

    PRACTICE LEADER: Neil Carlson, PhD

  • We believe good work is best done by happy humans, and good work done well is worthy of celebration. Our vision is to bring our other practices together with our funloving culture to create a new kind of professional social learning event series, beginning in summer 2023.

    PRACTICE LEADER: Emmajean Spoelman, BS
